Audience:
Businesses of all sizes who wish to communicate, not only internally,
but with their customers, suppliers and associates around the world.
Unlike group Videoconferencing, where the participants typically have
to congregate in special conference rooms, this new service enables
users to meet with each other and to join a multipoint conference via
the Internet from the convenience of their own desktop.
The service is ideal for small office and home office users (e.g.
Teleworkers) and for mobile workers who wish to communicate from
remote locations such as a hotel or airport.
Firewall/Nat Considerations:
The
Internet video service uses transversal software to provide Any-to-Any
connectivity, irrespective of whether the user is located behind a
firewall or NAT.
In the case of a PC based system, the software can be installed on the
PC.
Gateway Service:
Calls
to a legacy ISDN system are supported . The users simply dial the ISDN
number of the system to be connected to with a special prefix.
Virtual Meeting Room:
Users
can be issued with their own unique virtual conference room at
additional cost . These rooms have secure Pin code access, and each
room can room support up to 5 sites, and the connections can be via
IP, ISDN or PSTN (phone).
